I was sitting at the table for no longer than 5 minutes before I heard a low rumble of a horn. Next thing I know, there was a crowd of kids the burst into the room. They all started to separate into there own tables. Chiron came over and point to each table and which table is was called.
“So that table is the Athena table? Like, Athena the Greek God?”
“Yes. Children of Athena sit there.”
“Wait...children?”
“Yes, the Is Camp Half-Blood. A Summer camp for demigods. Your here because one of your parents is a god.”
I looked at him with bug eyes.
“That's a great joke!” I said quietly, not really believing myself all the way.
“No, it's not a joke. Mythology is not a myth. It is real.”
“Then who's my god-Parent?”
“We do not know yet. That is why your sitting at the un-determined table. We don't know know.”
Finally we started to get food. Chiron (yes he is showing me everything because I just happened to be the only one sitting at the un-determined table) told me that if I said what drink I want, it would appear in my cup. Same with my plate. I instantly had the best dinner ever of chocolate milk and cheese pizza.
After dinner, I saw all the other kids dumping part of the there dinner into the fire. I hope that I was supposed to do the same. I saw that Annabeth was in front of me in the line.
“Uh... Annabeth? What are we supposed to do?”
“Your giving an offering to the Gods.”
“Okay...?”
“Un-determined?”
“Yeah.” I sighed.
Annabeth reached the front of the line and dumped her food in the fire.
“The you might want to ask to gods to claim you.”
I took my plate and did as she did. In my head, I said, Whoever you are, uh.. claim me?
Nothing happened.
I was completely sure what claiming felt like (or even what was supposed to happen) but I was pretty sure that I wasn't just claimed.
Out on the porch of this farm house sat Percy and Annabeth. I was guessing they were kinda more than just friends now, considering they were sitting right next to each other, hand in hand, leaning there heads together.
I guess I would refer to it as sweet but that makes me want to spill my cookies. Percy looked over at me, but I didn't notice him looking at me. I was still shocked. There seemed so much to do, to see! The whole thing seriously looked like ancient Greek... you know, less broken than it is now currently. I could see stables far down the path one way, rows apon rows of cabins, a deep woods that had my name all over it, and there was even a vast strawberry field! Man, this place had it all.
“You want a quick tour?” He asked.
“Absolutely!” I exclaimed.”Oh, well, I mean, is your busy....”
“Nah, it's fine.” He slowly let go of Annabeth's hand, and walked off the porch, beckoning me to follow him.
There were seriously to many cabins to remember. Rows apon rows! We reached Cabin three and Percy stopped. The cabin that we stopped at was made of Obsidian stone and probably the coolest cabin there was.
“This is my cabin. Poseidon.”
“Holey cows, your the son of Poseidon?”
He just nodded.
There was an awkward pause before we continued. Out of the all the cabins he showed me, my favorites were Hecate, Athena, Hephaestus, and Poseidon.
We were about to go to the stables but I heard a conch horn off in the distance.
The sun was completely gone by the time we got to the campfire. Percy (of course) went over and sat next to Annabeth, who leaned her head on his shoulder. Blech.
I was left standing there, so shy and nervous to know what to do. I looked around, found a spare seat and sat there. The 3 girls already sitting there stopped talking and all stared at me.
They looked really familiar to me and I was just about to ask for there names but everyone around the fire started up singing a song. The flames seemed to climb higher and higher as they sang. Me? Well, I tried to follow along with the songs but I quickly gave up. Singing really isn't my thing.

The songs stopped and the fire died down to a normal sized fire. Chiron stopped his foot-- hoof, sorry on the rock to get everyone's attention. A man that I'd never seen before stood up. He looked horribly bored and easily agitated.
“Well, its been another horrible say here at Camp Hlaf-Boring. For those of you who don't know, my name is Mr. D.”
“Yeah, we know that, wine god.” said a girl from the Aphrodite's cabin.
“Yes, Drewfuse, use your pretty little eyeballs for something else besides staring at yourself and you might notice there's a new camper.” Mr. D pointed his finger at me.
I immediately looked at my feet and felt a hundred eyes boring into my back. Chiron broke the silence. “Okay, well, welcome to Camp, Zaidia! Let's sing one more song before we hit the sack.
I didn't even try to sing along this time, I was feeling more of an outsider now. Like I just jumped into this crazy camp and no one wanted me here. The girls were still staring at me, I had no clue who my godly parent was, and I didn't even know where I was going to sleep tonight. I just wanted to go home.
Suddenly, the flames died down and the voices stopped. Finally the fire went completely out and you could clearly see an erie blue light was being cast down on me. Everyone was clearly staring above my head, so I did to. Above my head was, well, as far as I could tell, a flaming blue pitchfork. No, was that a trident? What was that there for?
Chiron gulped and announced to the crowd, “Hail, Zaidia Black. Daughter of Poseidon, god of the Sea.”
I guessed that was claiming.
“Yep that's defiantly Zaidia.” One of the girls who was starring at me said to her friend.
Percy was staring up at my highly flammable blue trident, his mouth open wide. Annabeth shut his mouth and the trident flicked away.
“Well, isn't that an unfortunate note to end the night on? Oh well, don't let the cleaning Harpies eat you! BED!” he yelled.
I don't think I've ever seen a group of people clear out faster than I did that night. Chiron trotted over to me and patted me on the back.
“Why was that unfortunate?” I put my face in my hands, feeling very embarrassed and even more like I shouldn't belong here.
“Percy and Iona will explain. Go follow them up Cabin three.” And Chiron trotted off.
